Where did the ball go? Probably to the right, yes, another sliced ball into the woods. That is what happens when most of us play golf. We are awful at this game but that one good shot a round is what keeps us coming back again like a gambler’s one win that makes him think that his luck is going to change.
In golf there are many thing that we can do to get better at this game. We can take lessons, sharpen our minds and buy equipment that will help us. We know that most people rightfully so are against the idea that equipment can help them but there is one piece of equipment that can change your game– Your golf ball.
We know that the little white ball is our enemy, that it has gotten the best of us and that our current tools (golf clubs) have been powerless against it. Perhaps it is now time to turn our golf ball into an ally instead of having it as our enemy.
One way that we can make our golf balls work for us is to get the right ball for our skill level and the way that we hit the ball. Some of us need low spin balls that won’t slice and hook as easily as regular balls. We need a golf ball that is a lot easier to control than what we currently use. We also need to look into dimple patterns and ball coverings that will help us keep distance and eliminate excess spin.
Unlike the pros who need more spin, we don’t create the same speed or impact condition to need those things. We are not pros so why are we playing their equipment. We know it is cool to think that we can do the same thing that they can do but we cannot.
